Because A Good App is Hard to Find

The following is basically an advertisement, but it is an advertisement for something neat and useful. Also, if you like what I'm about to tell you and sign up for the newsletter, I get one dollar, and I happen to be in a position to need dollars!

One of the most serious first world problems plaguing us today is app overload. Too often, we open iTunes, looking for the app that will change our lives, and then close it again, overwhelmed by the choices, dejected and discouraged.

appSmitten changes that! It's basically a newsletter (you can choose to receive it daily or weekly - I went with weekly, because too many emails is just as discouraging as too many apps). Each newsletter contains a carefully cultivated list featuring recommendations of the best apps for the iPhone, iPad, and Android to help keep you organized, entertained, and productive.  The site also has lists of apps organized by interest - health and fitness, food, education, photography, etc. - which is definitely useful and easy to navigate.

Sign up today and check it out. Even it's not your cup of tea, you can unsubscribe at any time, and best of all, I get to keep the dollar. But honestly - if you like this blog, chances are you'll like appSmitten. I wouldn't recommend it otherwise, dollars be damned.

We now return to our regularly scheduled posts about running, dogs, writing, and food. Thanks for reading!
